Where can you find reliable professional help?

Begin with the kind of question you need answered, then verify the person's qualifications and relevant experience. This page is a due-diligence checklist, not a directory of vetted providers. No professional has paid for a listing here in this edition.

Previous profile cards and blanket verification claims have been removed because this site could not substantiate them. A polished portrait or a confident biography is not a credential check.

Define the engagement before paying

  • Ask for the person's full professional name, registration details and applicable licensing body.
  • Explain the countries, dates and facts involved in your question.
  • Get the scope, deliverable, fee, taxes and cancellation terms in writing.
  • Ask who will actually do the work and how documents will be protected.
  • Request disclosure of referral fees or relationships with a seller, clinic or insurer.

Check registration through the relevant authority independently rather than relying only on a screenshot sent by the provider. Qualifications in one field do not establish competence in another.

Put the decision in context

The setting affects access, climate, transport and the questions you need to ask a provider.

Match the adviser to the decision

Immigration questions belong with a suitably qualified immigration adviser or lawyer and the issuing authority. Cross-border tax questions need someone who understands the countries involved. Property purchases need independent legal review, not only a broker's assurance.

For healthcare, use the Ministry of Health's ReTHUS resources for professional registration and REPS for facility and service registration. Then ask about the specific treatment, responsibilities and follow-up.

Watch for promises no one can control

Guaranteed visa approval, guaranteed investment returns or a demand to pay immediately without written terms are reasons to pause. Keep control of your original documents and use a secure channel for sensitive records after verifying the recipient.
